PREVENTION SPECIALIST (HEALTHCARE)

Job Purpose

As a prevention specialist at Naufar, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating SUDs Prevention programs conducted by Naufar Center. As a Prevention specialist you will engage with individuals, families, and communities to raise awareness, promote healthy behaviors, and reduce risk factors that contribute to substance use. This role involves collaboration with healthcare providers, schools, and community organisations to create supportive environments that foster resilience and well-being.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Professional/Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in public health with major in Health Education.

Or

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field with accredited certified course in Health Education.

Certifications/Licensure:

• Eligible for license from the Licensing authority in the State of Qatar for Health and Wellness Educator Scope.
• Valid Primary license from the country of origin (if applicable).

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree holders. (6) years of clinical work experience in healthcare setting out of which:
• (2) years’ experience in relevant clinical service certified in Health Education.
• (1) year relevant experience to community health, behavioral health, or substance use prevention programs or Mental Health services.
• Master’s degree holders. (4) years of work experience in healthcare, setting out of which:
• (2) years’ experience in relevant clinical service certified in Health Education.
