Through this service; Expressive Art Psychotherapy (EAP) integrates psychotherapeutic techniques with the creative artistic process to improve mental health and well-being.

At Naufar, Expressive Art Psychotherapy aims to utilise the creative process to help the patients explore and express their feelings, emotions, and thoughts to support them in finding new ways to gain personal insight, boosting self-esteem, develop new coping skills and learning new social skills.
Our Expressive Art therapist works across the centre, both inpatient and outpatient, providing a creative reflective space for the patients to express their thoughts and feelings both verbally and non-verbally using a variety of creative technics including:

  • Drawing, painting, and colouring
  • Visual creation and handmade (sculpting, clay, collage, photography)
  • Drama therapy / Psychodrama
  • Music therapy
  • Writing therapy
  • Dance therapy

Patients participating in EAP do not need to have artistic ability or special talent, and people of all ages can benefit from it within the accepted cultural frameworks of society.
